National Cheese Lovers’ Day

For some cheese gourmets, the word ‘love’ simply doesn’t go far enough. The time is ripe to unite in praise! 

National Cheese Lovers Day is a day dedicated to the celebration of the many different types of cheese in the world, but this day is certainly not exclusive to cheese connoisseurs who have strange or exotic tastes. Instead, it is a day for an average person to celebrate their favorite cheeses while also learning about new ones.

Some Handy Facts:
-There are at least 2000 different types of cheese in the world.
-Cheese takes up about 10% of the volume of the milk it was made from.
-As a wedding gift, Queen Victoria received a 1,000-pound wheel of cheese.
=In Wisconsin, an old law required restaurants to serve cheese with every meal.

So, don’t feel bleu or throw a feta, I’m sure you won’t disabrie that Cheese Lovers’ Day is a gouda time to celebrate this most auspicious of holidays.
