FABLEIST Cabernet Sauvignon – Organic

It’s becoming near impossible to find good, rich, and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon for under $45 these days; but that doesn’t stop us from looking! 

Between Fableist, Wonderwall, and Field Recordings, we carry more wines made by Curt Schlachlin and  Andrew Jones than any other winemakers – over 20 SKUs and growing. 

Why?  The wines are varietally correct, reflect a sense of place, follow sustainable to organic farming practices, and punch well above their weight class in the value department. 

These two talented Paso Robles winemakers joined forces to craft this organic  Cabernet.  Curt is winemaker at Sans Liege, known for his high-scoring yet affordable wines, and Andrew is winemaker at Field Recordings and spends most days planting vineyards and walking just about every vineyard in the Central Coast!  

 This vintage is every bit as good as the previous releases, maybe just a bit more structured and black-fruited. The wine greets you with a dark garnet color with purple accents, along with scents of lush blueberry, boysenberry, currants, and memories of your grandfather’s briar-wood pipe. As the flavors begin to march across your palate, it imparts hints of sweet plums, red and black cherries, vanilla, herbs, earth, warm cedar planks, and freshly ground spices. Every little sip leaves you comfortable, content, and just feeling like you stole this wine for less than $25!

Vibrant black currant, cedar, and vanilla hit your tongue, as you’re warmed by the comforts of mint and eucalyptus. A strong finish wraps you in a fond embrace. Organic grapes.  Blend: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 2% Malbec
