Award-winning olive oils from Gold ridge Organic Farms
Our next offer is for a choice of wonderful organic Olive Oils from Gold Ridge Farms in Sebastopol, California. There are four different oils, each bottle is priced at $29.99 each.
Gold Ridge Organic Farms is located 50 miles northwest of San Francisco in the rolling hills of Sebastopol in Sonoma County, California. Owner-Farmer Brooke Hazen settled here in 2001 knowing that sandy loam soils and coastal breezes would be ideal conditions for farming. He planted 70 acres of olives, 18 acres of heirloom apples, and a variety of citrus fruit. The farm and mill are certified by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) and Oregon Tilth Certified Organic (OTCO).
Gold Ridge Organic Farms is among the California producers leading the way in sustainable and organic olive oil production methods, despite the dominance of imports in the North American market. At the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the Northern California producer earned three Gold Awards and a Silver Award for all four of its entries.
Here's what's on offer:
Arbequina Blend The 2020 Arbequina blend shows fresh floral aromas, fennel, and hints of stone fruit. The buttery texture is typical of Arbequina oils and this harvest has flavors of ripe banana, stone fruit, and marzipan. Low bitterness and lightly robust. Delicious in salad dressings and marinades. Pair with lemon, balsamic vinegar, and drizzle over grilled vegetables or fresh cheeses. A unique blend of Spanish olive varieties: Arbequina, Empeltre, Leccin de Seville, Hojiblanca, Picual and Manzanilla.
Minerva Blend This 2020 harvest oil is aromatic with hints of delicate fig leaf and pear. It is a foodie favorite. Flavors of toasted walnut, green tea, and a subtle white pepper finish. Medium-bodied, medium spicy. Low pungency and very high in antioxidants. This is a great finishing oil and great for dipping. It will bring complex flavors to grilled or raw veggies, hummus, tapenade, cured meats. Pair with pasta, pesto or enjoy in salads for an extra lift of flavor. An Italian blend of Minerva, Frantoio and Maurino olives with a touch of Cerasoula and Ladoelia.
Picholine Blend The 2020 Picholine is a blend of French olives, and it shows bright aromas of freshly cut wheatgrass, lemon citrus, and hints of artichoke. Flavors include fresh grass, green tea, and arugula on the finish. Medium pungent and medium robust. This is the spiciest of all four oils. Picholine shines as a finishing oil and pairs well with hard cheeses like Reggiano Parmigiano. Also great in pesto, on pasta, and charcuterie. This is a blend of mostly Picholine olives with a small amount of Aglandau, Bouteillian, Solonenque, Grossane, and Cayon.
Tuscan Blend The 2020 harvest Tuscan Blend is bright and shows aromas of freshly cut grass and herbes de Provence. Flavors of green apple and pine nut with a hint of green almond. Medium-bodied with a light finish. This is a versatile oil that can easily sauté, finish a dish or bring special flavors to your vinaigrette. A favorite kitchen staple for many esteemed chefs in San Francisco Bay Area. An Italian blend of mostly Frantoio and Leccino with a small amount of Maurino and Pendolino olives.
