Fableist Merlot

Between Fableist, Wonderwall, Neverland, Fiction, and Field Recordings, we carry more wines made by Curt Schlachlin and  Andrew Jones than any other winemakers – over 20 SKUs and growing. 

Why?  The wines are varietally correct, reflect a sense of place, follow sustainable to organic farming practices and punch well above their weight class in the value department. 

These two talented Paso Robles winemakers joined forces to craft this organic Merlot; Curt Schlachlin and Andrew Jones. Curt is winemaker at Sans Liege, known for his high-scoring yet affordable wines, and Andrew is winemaker at Field Recordings and spends most days planting vineyards and walking just about every vineyard in the Central Coast!  

Fableist Merlot has a classic claret character. Black tea, northland blueberries, and wet concrete.  The silky texture slides gracefully across the palate leaving behind hints of sweet plums, warm cedar planks, and freshly ground spices.
